Lip Liners Just The Lip Makeup You Need to Ensure Perfect Definition To Lips

Lip liners are almost like lipstick but drier and with better control over drawing shape of your lips.  These lip liners are ideally the best way to clearly define your lips. Those with thinner lips can draw an outline on the outer border of the lip to make it look fuller. Outlining from using a lip liner pencil is almost perfect, especially when you design a lip makeup to last you all evening. Lip liners are created by several brands, though the ingredients may change according to brand specifics, however, most common ingredients are pigments, waxes and oils. The lip liners are designed to compliment the existing lip colors and shades to ensure women get to benefit from the non-leaking lip liners when they apply the lipstick.

Lip liners allow perfect design to your lips. You can provide better shape to the lips if they lack a perfect definition. Using lip liners before applying lipstick can actually help you contouring your shape of your lips. If you have thinner lips, with the help of lip liner you can made then appear thicker. This also applies for senior ladies whose lip shape is not what it used to be. Lip liners are mainly made by using different waxes, oils and color pigments.

Application and Use

Applying lip liner needs to be more careful than the lipstick. You are creating a prominent, mostly darker color border around your lips for further application of lipstick. Accuracy and care needs to be taken before the lip liner is applied. Apply in perfect shape, first time it is better to keep it lighter and the second time you should contour it firmly. Then future action of proceeding to fill in the border with a matching lipstick should begin. If you have lipstick brushes, you should try and mix the lip shade and the lip liner to make it sync well together. This will achieve evenly shaped and colored gorgeous lips.

Should Your Lip Liner Be Darker or Lighter?

It is a personal choice, you can even choose a neon colored combination if you are going to a pub or a dance club or want something exceptionally catchy. However, generally women use darker liners and a slightly lighter lipstick. It is easier for combining as well as for creating a more defined outline. Light

Ingredients in Lip Liners

There are several different types of waxes:

1 Beeswax: Easy to bind ingredients to bind textures together, it makes application smoother, emollient properties and the wax forms better filling for lips and will avoid bleeding.

2. Carnauba Wax: This wax is derived from palm tree native to Brazil, it is a hard wax which does not melt in warm temperatures, it has a natural wax and protects longevity on application.

3. Candelilla Wax: It is a good hard wax and is derived from candelilla tree in the USA. This wax increases resistance, it is a good binding agent and also provides good gloss to the lips.

4. Ozokerite Wax: It is a natural wax that occurs in the nature, this one has more transference than any other wax, it also has high melting point so avoids oils from mixing with each other in the pencil, keeping the colors and its integrity intact.

5. Microcrystalline Wax: This one is a by product of petroleum refining, however, this one is finer than petroleum jelly thereby helping with the texture and holding all the oils together. Finer texture also means it gives the pencil creamy structure and spreads over the lips beautifully.

6 Synthetic Waxes: These are man made waxes and chemical compounds that mimic the qualities of natural waxes, but these may not have the same natural qualities as the natural waxes have. However, since these are man made these are quite cheap and are used regularly in cheaper beauty products. These synthetic Waxes have not been seen as healthy option. However, because of the cheaper price range these are widely used even by the expensive brands. However, since these are made for specific purpose, these may give better results at lower prices.

For information on oils used in lip liners, here are a few that will encourage you to make a good choice. Oils range from properties for moisturizing to protection. Oils vary in sources they are derived from. Check them before you buy.

Lip liners are available aplenty, however, if you are searching the ones with natural ingredients, you will find more of them in smaller batches since natural waxes are not as abundant and inexpensive as the man made waxes. These are created by the ones who specialize in natural skin care, however, there is no telling about the authenticity of these brands either.
